Bickett Races to Second Straight Win

   HARTFORD, SD — Ryan Bickett powered his way to a second straight Hard Core Speed Shop IMCA 360 Sprint Car win Saturday night at I-90 Speedway.  “The track is coming into my favor,” said Bickett after leading the final eight laps of the feature that saw four lead changes.  Bickett took the top spot from Micah Schliemann on lap 13.  Troy Schreurs led the race on two different occassions and managed an impressive second place finish.

   Three red flags spoiled the Sprint Car A-Main for Zeb Larsen, Tommy Barber, Dusty Ballenger and Kevin Flowers.  All drivers were okay after the accidents.

   Four different drivers led the Express Copy and Printing Late Model Street Stock A-Main.  Cory Yeigh passed Dan Jensen on lap 12 of the 15-lap event as Jensen got caught behind a slower car.  Yeigh, last year’s Sportsmen track champion, picked up his second win in the division.

   Tracy Johnson outdueled Kenny Scholten and Dave Kennedy to win the USRA B-Modified main event.  Johnson finished the month of July with three feature wins and five Top 5 finishes at Hartford.  He is also the highest ranked I-90 Speedway regular in the USRA national point standings.

   When you’re on a roll it seems like the breaks tend to go your way.  That can be said for Travis Schreurs after his seventh Hobby Stock feature win.  Schreurs crossed the finish line right behind Mike Chaney.  However, Chaney was later disqualifed due to an illegal ignition.  Schreurs closest competitors in the point standings now trail him by 115 points.

   Harley Bauman made a clean sweep of the Fast Auto Wash Super Chargers division.  Bauman continues to lead the points and now has six feature wins her credit.
