HARTFORD, S.D. — Rain began to fall during Saturday night’s pit meeting at I-90 Speedway and continued long enough to force cancellation of the Little Guy Nationals.
The headline race has been rescheduled for this Saturday night, August 18, as the Express Copy and Printing Late Model Street Stocks will compete with top wings for $700 to win.
Express Copy and Printing is also sponsoring and autograph session with the Street Stock drivers and will be rescheduled for Saturday Night September 1st.
Saturday night is also Hard Core Speed Shop Night and marks the return of the Hard Core Speed Shop 360 Sprint Cars after their only break. The division brags the tightest points battle with just four weeks remaining in the season. Points leader Dusty Ballenger, in search of his fourth straight track title, leads Ryan Bickett by just 17 points while John Lambertz is only 3 points behind Bickett.
In two weeks, I-90 Speedway hosts its final special of the 2012 season. The $500 to win Hobby Stock Nationals is set for August 25. The defending champion is Dylan Fitzpatrick of Sioux Falls.
Season championship night is Saturday, September 8.
