Dover Records Third Straight Win for Third Consecutive Year

Inside Line Promotions – HARTFORD, S.D. (June 2, 2020) – Jack Dover captured his third consecutive triumph last Saturday at I-90 Speedway.

The victory during the Midwest Sprint Touring Series event marked the third straight year and seventh in the last eight years that Dover has won at least three straight races. His longest streak was five consecutive feature victories in June 2015.

“I’d say it’s the best we’ve started a season,” he said. “My mind is in the right place and I’m out to get as many wins as I can. It helps when our car and motor is working awesome, too. That makes my job easier.”

Dover drew a high number to start the program, but that played into his hands after lining up seventh in a heat race.

“I ran the bottom and got up to second about the fourth lap,” he said. “I couldn’t run down the leader. We couldn’t get our speed built up. We had too much gear in so we took some away for the feature.”

Dover made the feature redraw and pulled the No. 5 to line up on the inside of the third row for the 25-lap main event.

“I got up to second by Lap 2,” he said. “I ran the bottom and our car would pretty much go wherever I wanted it to. I got to Lee Grosz and got around him on Lap 7. Once I got to traffic I could run up top, through the middle, down low. The car was working awesome.”

Dover’s win was his 28th career with the series and third in a row dating back to last year’s season finale.

The plan for this weekend is to return to I-90 Speedway on Saturday for a Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series event.
