I-90 Speedway
Freedom Classic Tonight, Saturday at I-90 Speedway
The Freedom Classic, a highlight event of the season at I-90 Speedway, runs this weekend with racing on Friday and Saturday.
The racing action features the four divisions of the RPM Race Series: Spielman Excavating IMCA Sprint Cars, First Interstate Bank Late Model Street Stocks, Reaves Buildings USRA B-Mods and LawnSnow.com USRA Hobby Stocks. The event is draw/redraw for all classes on both nights of the Freedom Classic, meaning point averages have no bearing on the starting grids.
In addition, some big money is on the line for the Spielman Excavating IMCA Sprint Cars with Friday going $750 to win, $150 to start and Saturday is $1,000 to win, $200 to start.
Friday tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for students. Saturday tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Twelve and younger are free both night. The five Culver’s locations across Sioux Falls have free student passes. Those Culver’s passes are also good for college age students with a valid college identification.
Hot laps begin at 6:30 with racing to follow. Saturday’s event is capped off with a fireworks display.
