Big 50 Night Delivers Exciting USRA Action at I-90 Speedway
HARTFORD, S.D. (June 27, 2026) — Fans packed the grandstands Saturday night at I-90 Speedway as the annual Big 50 Night showcased thrilling racing from two United States Racing Association divisions on the fast 1/3-mile high-banked oval.
The QuickCar Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks put on an outstanding show with Dustin Gulbrandson charging from the fourth starting position to capture the feature victory. Gulbrandson methodically worked his way to the front and never looked back as he claimed the Big 50 Night triumph.
Making one of the biggest moves of the race was Landon Krohn, who stormed from the 10th starting spot to finish second. Nick Brady completed the podium in third, while Bill Christiansen crossed the stripe fourth and Josef Zahn rounded out the top five.
The PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mods feature was equally entertaining as pole sitter Adam Chernotik led all 15 laps to score an impressive flag-to-flag victory.
The drive of the race belonged to Kevin Joachim, who sliced through the field from the 14th starting position to finish runner-up and earn hard charger honors. Tanner Koster advanced from sixth to claim third, while Skyelar DeVaney finished fourth and Josh Lien completed the top five.
Big 50 Night once again proved why I-90 Speedway remains one of the premier dirt tracks in the region, delivering side-by-side racing, impressive drives through the field, and memorable feature events for the fans in attendance.
The action returns to I-90 Speedway on Friday, July 4, as the track hosts another exciting night of weekly racing highlighted by a spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks Show. Fans are encouraged to follow the speedway's Facebook page and official website for event details, schedules, and updates.
