Car Show & Practice Day Kicks Off 2026 Season at I-90 Speedway
Hartford, S.D. — The 2026 racing season at I-90 Speedway roars to life on Saturday, April 25, with a full day of horsepower, community, and on-track excitement during the annual Car Show & Practice Day.
The day begins in Sioux Falls with a car show at The 18th Amendment, where both race cars and classic cars and trucks will be on display. Registration opens at 9 a.m., with the show running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to meet drivers, get an up-close look at the machines, and cast their vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
Trophies will be presented at 1 p.m. for Best of Show in each race car class, along with awards for People’s Choice, Best Restored, Best Un-Restored, and Best Truck Class.
Following the car show, the action shifts back to I-90 Speedway at approximately 3 p.m., where drivers will hit the track for an open practice session. Practice will run until dusk, giving teams valuable time to fine-tune their cars ahead of the competitive season. Pit passes will be available at the gate for $35.
The excitement continues the following weekend as the RPM Racing Series officially opens the racing season on Saturday, May 2.
